Clinical Excellence

What is a DPT?  It is a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT), the highest level of education in our profession. Both of Edge’s owners possess this degree as well as most of the treating staff.  Additionally, both owners have their board certifications in orthopedics and have extensive clinical and business administrative experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy and medical wellness. All of our therapists have completed a significant number of continuing education courses and stay active within the profession.  Edge strives to stay current with cutting edge treatment techniques as this is a crucial part of the company philosophy.

Meet Our Team

Anne Kertson, DPT, OCSAnne Kertson, DPT, OCS

Anne Kertson received her undergraduate degree from University of Washington in 2001 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Southern California in 2004. In 2011, Anne became Board Certified as an Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Orthopedic Section since 2001, and has been certified as a Clinical Instructor for physical therapy students through the APTA in 2007.

Anne is highly passionate about physical therapy and pours this passion into her patients. She has built a specialty treating lower extremity injuries (foot/ankle, knee) and orthotics, but truly enjoys all aspects of physical therapy, including treating back and shoulder injuries. She works to listen to her patient’s goals and help them find ways that work in their lifestyle to achieve them. She believes in using a combination of hands on treatment, exercise, as well as patient education, therefore allowing the patient to not only heal quickly from their current injury but also allowing them to understand their injury and ideally prevent it from re-occuring in the future.

Outside of work, she loves to stay active – whether that means hitting the gym or throwing on snowshoes in the winter and heading out on a good trail with her husband and dog. She enjoys all that the Pacific Northwest and Snoqualmie have to offer and feels it is the perfect fit to have her business close to home.

After working closely with a local eastside orthopedic surgeon group in an outpatient clinic, her business interest led her to a clinic director role within a private practice, where she has had the opportunity to manage the day to day operations of a large rehab/wellness clinic for a couple of years. Silpa is very excited to be practicing in her local community where she can serve family, friends and neighbors! Her specific approach to treating patients includes a thorough examination to identify the root cause of the problem and she strongly believes in patient education in order to make any treatment plan successful.

During her free time, Silpa stays busy spending time with her husband, son, and large extended family. She also likes traveling and cooking. Silpa enjoys staying active and has found a new liking for the outdoors living in the Pacific Northwest.
