About Stacey Ellingson, DPT
Stacey was born and raised in Eastern Washington. Eager to leave the tumbleweeds behind, she moved west of the mountains to attend University of Washington where she graduated with a degree in Biology in 2004 (Go Huskies)! Having been highly involved in dance during her youth, she developed a passion for the movement of the human body early. That passion, coupled with her love of her anatomy and physiology classes, made physical therapy an obvious career choice. She attended PT school at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences where she earned her doctorate in physical therapy in 2007. Despite her love of Florida sunshine and palm trees, she was excited to return to the Seattle area after graduation…she does NOT miss the Florida cockroaches or banana spiders! She has primarily worked in outpatient orthopedics throughout her career, with emphasis on manual therapy. In addition to treating a variety of orthopedic conditions, her more specialized treatment interests include Women’s Health and pelvic floor dysfunction, as well as dance medicine. She is currently pursuing her certification in manual therapy through the University of St. Augustine. She highly values the rapport she develops with her patients and is excited to help guide them through the correction of their movement dysfunction. She is thankful for the individualized attention Edge PT allows her to give her patients. In her free time, Stacey enjoys jogging (make sure she is getting half marathons back on her radar!), sunny Seattle days, laughing with friends, and mostly enjoying life with her husband, son, and crazy black lab, Moose.
