About the Author: Charley Liu

Dr. Charley Liu received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed his residency training at the University of Wisconsin at Madison specializing in Sports Physical Therapy and is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist. He has also provided on-field medical coverage for high school athletics and worked in research with the Badger’s Athletic Department at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Additionally, in 2019, Charley became a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports (SCS) from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.Charley enjoys working with a wide variety of conditions. He specializes in lower and upper extremity injuries and post-operative rehabilitation. He is especially passionate about guiding athletes through their return to sport. His treatment approach utilizes biomechanical analysis, targeted strength and conditioning, and hands-on techniques to maximize athletes’ performance.He is an avid outdoorsman and competitive downhill mountain bike racer. While off the bike, he enjoys rock climbing, hiking, skiing, and, slacklining.
